Reproductive Health

Through this project, it is expected to support the provision of RH services in isolated communities in Gaza. Interventions will focus on increasing the awareness of families at the selected sites on RH issues and improve the community role in improving quality of RH services. It is expected that empowerment of communities will facilitate integrity of services and support health care providers in ensuring equitable access. On another side, the project will include the Global fund component on HIV and AIDS. Through this project, many areas will be covered, mainly related to capacity building of women NGOs and training of women peer counselors to reach other women in rural areas. The project’s social workers will deliver outreach programs to vulnerable women in West Bank and Gaza.

The project’s expected outcomes:

*Access to and utilization of high-quality, complementary, comprehensive, rights based reproductive health care is increased, including in humanitarian crises.

*Increased capacity of providers to offer comprehensive, complementary, high quality reproductive health services and information in identified geographic areas, with attention to the chronic humanitarian arises.

Some of the project’s activities are:

1) Support Behavioral Community Change (BCC) initiatives and education activities at community level

2) Conduct health awareness activities within community, where health days will be implemented in each location, including lectures, educational theatre and videos.

3) Sub contracting NGOs/CBOs to support provision of life skills and professional skills to identified women engaged in sex work and other vulnerable women, awareness raising by sub-contractors for education and training of vulnerable women.
